We’re closing our Caerleon shop on 24th October 2026.
Back in spring 2027 (in Risca, we hope)
Hello, thank you for finding us, and welcome to the pages of Spirit of Awen, our crystal and spiritual gifts shop.
For many happy years our home was the beautiful Ffwrwm sculpture garden in Caerleon, near Newport in South Wales. Sadly, in May 2026 we had to leave our beloved shop as the Ffwrwm came under new ownership, with other plans for the space.
From May to October 2026 we found a temporary home just up the road in Caerleon, thanks to the kindness of the owner of the shop at 7 Cross Street.
Our time in Caerleon has now come to an end. It’s with great sadness that we leave behind so many happy memories and friends. But the place we loved is no longer the peaceful sanctuary it was. It’s time for us to move on.
We are taking some time from November to February to go travelling. We’re off to Istanbul, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and India.
We intend to re-open Spirit of Awen in early spring 2027, probably in Risca, and are looking forward to welcoming back old friends and new, for a fresh start.
We also tried our hand at a little online shop this year, for friends a bit further afield. We are closing that now too. With everything going into storage at the start of November, we want to be sure we can look after any returns in good time before the last box is packed.
In the meantime, do stay in touch. You can sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know where and when we reopen, and our clothing range is always available online.
Thank you for being part of our story. The light always comes back, and so will we. The Awen (the inspiration) flows on through our lives.

About us
Spirit of Awen is a gathering place for crystals, singing bowls, jewellery, books and curiosities with a little magic about them. We choose our crystals from an ethical wholesaler, so each one can be traced back to its source, and we test every singing bowl by hand before it earns a place on our shelves. If you’re near Caerleon before we close for the winter on 24th October, do come and say hello in person.
